Assessments and feedback
Noterra includes a separate assessment system in addition to interactive lessons.
What students can do
In the assessment area, you may see these states:
- Start an assigned assessment
- Resume an in-progress assessment
- View a submitted attempt while analysis is still running
- Results once scoring is ready
Assessment task types
Assessment task kinds include:
- multiple choice
- writing
- speaking
- gap fill
- retell
- shadowing
- transformation
What you may see in your results
Assessment attempt pages can display:
- overall score
- CEFR guess
- weak topics
- AI-generated feedback
- pronunciation details for speaking tasks
- transcripts and metrics
- teacher notes
Some of this feedback is generated automatically, and some may be added directly by your teacher.
Student workflow
- Open Assessment or My assessments.
- Start or resume the assigned test.
- Submit the attempt.
- Wait while the platform analyzes answers.
- Return to the results page to review scores and feedback.
