Managing classes and students

How teachers add students, send invites, maintain profiles, and organize learner records.

Managing classes and students

The Students area is the center of teacher-side learner management.

Even if your team talks about classes, this part of Noterra is organized around individual student records.

What teachers can do

In the student area, teachers can:

  • invite students one by one
  • create and send invite links
  • bulk-create invites
  • resend or revoke pending invites
  • search and filter student lists
  • view active, archived, or all students
  • edit name and language pair details
  • adjust lesson balances
  • update learning goals
  • manage low-balance thresholds
  • archive and unarchive students
  • assign a primary teacher

Student profiles

Each student profile aggregates several important records:

  • learner details and language setup
  • learning goals
  • lesson notes
  • booking history
  • attachments
  • vocabulary stats
  • assessment history
  • credit events and lesson balance data

Inviting a new student

  1. Open Students.
  2. Create an invite with the student email and optional learner details.
  3. Send the invite or copy the invite link.
  4. Track whether the invite is pending, claimed, expired, or revoked.

Primary teacher assignment

You can assign a primary teacher to each student, especially on school plans. This affects booking rules and teacher filtering.

Archiving learners

Archived students are kept separate from active students. Use archiving when a learner should leave your active workflow without losing their history.
